Welcome to Studio Helper (the app and web version, the “Service”), provided by Chen-Yu Yeh (“we”). By registering or using the Service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
The Service is a management tool for owners of lesson studios (music, dance, art, crafts, tutoring and more). It covers scheduling, attendance and leave or make-up records, fee and lesson-balance records, teacher pay calculation, an activity log, backups, a read-only link for parents to see the schedule, and calendar subscription.
Messages the Service creates (for example payment reminders and leave notices) are only drafts. You copy and send them yourself through LINE or other channels. We do not send messages for you and do not take part in your communication with students and parents.
2. Accounts and roles
- You must be at least 18 years old or have full legal capacity to register.
- Accounts are either “owner” or “manager”. The owner creates the studio, sets prices and settings, approves managers, and is the person who is charged for the Service. Managers use the Service after the owner approves them, within what the owner allows.
- Keep your password and the studio’s invite codes safe and give accurate information. Actions taken through your account are treated as yours.
- An owner may transfer ownership to another member of the studio; it takes effect when that person accepts. After that, the new owner is responsible for the fees.
3. Trial, fees and cancellation
- New owners get a 14-day free trial, counted from the first time they become an owner. Creating further studios does not restart it.
- When the trial ends or a subscription stops, the studio becomes read-only: you can still view and export data but cannot add or change anything, and parent links and calendar subscriptions pause. Data is kept for 60 days and then deleted. Paying again restores access immediately.
- Prices, periods and contents are as shown on the purchase screen. On iPhone and iPad, payment goes through Apple in-app purchase; subscriptions renew automatically, you can cancel at any time in your Apple subscription settings, and refunds follow Apple’s rules. We will announce separately when web payment opens.
- We will give notice before changing prices; a change applies only from the next subscription period.
4. Your data and responsibilities
- The studio data you enter is yours. You allow us to store, process and back it up in order to provide the Service.
- Studio data includes personal data of students (who may be minors) and parents. The owner is the collector of that data and must, as the PDPA requires, tell students or their legal representatives why it is collected and how it is used, and obtain any necessary consent. Please do not enter unnecessary sensitive data (such as national ID numbers or medical records).
- You must not upload anything unlawful or that infringes others’ rights.
- Managers must act within the owner’s authorization. The owner decides who receives a parent link and can turn it off or regenerate it at any time.
5. Export, backup and deletion
- You can create backup text, restore from a backup, or delete the studio and your account in the app at any time. Deletion cannot be undone, so keep your own backup first.
- Although we do our best to protect data, we recommend exporting backups regularly and keeping them yourself.
- When a studio is read-only because a trial ended or a subscription stopped, its data is kept for 60 days and can be exported during that time. After that we delete it.
6. Acceptable use
Do not: interfere with or damage the Service; try to obtain data that is not yours (including guessing invite codes or parent links); access it in bulk by automated means; reverse engineer or copy it; use it for unlawful activity; or distribute malware. If you do, we may suspend or terminate your account.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running reliably but cannot promise it will never be interrupted or error-free; we are not responsible for interruptions caused by maintenance, cloud-provider problems or force majeure. We may add, change or stop some features. If we stop the whole Service we will give at least 30 days’ notice and time to export your data.
8. Intellectual property
The Service’s software, interface, name and logo belong to us. You keep your rights in the data you enter. We grant you a non-transferable permission to use the Service to run your own studio, as long as you follow these terms.
9. Nature of the tool and disclaimers
- The pay, lesson-balance and fee calculations are aids for your record-keeping, not accounting, tax, labor or legal advice. Please check the results yourself and consult a professional when needed.
- The Service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it suits your particular purpose.
- Our liability to you for the Service is limited to the fees you actually paid us in the 12 months before the incident (NT$1,000 during the free trial); this limit does not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence.
- We are not responsible for losses caused by wrong data you entered, leaked account credentials, unauthorized actions, or your breach of these terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. If you breach these terms, or your use harms the Service or others, we may suspend or terminate your account; except in urgent cases we will notify you first and give you a chance to export your data.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. For a material change that is unfavorable to you we will give at least 14 days’ notice in the app or on the website (unless law or security requires otherwise). Continuing to use the Service after the change means you accept it; if you do not, you can stop using it and delete your account.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). For disputes arising from the Service or these terms, both sides agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court is the court of first instance, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
13. Apple and other platforms
If you obtain the app through the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard license terms also apply. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for maintaining or supporting the Service.
